Banken

Gestern habe ich mich etwas über das hiesiege Banksystem geärgert.
Ich musste, nachdem ich am Dienstag gebucht hatte, meinen Tasmanientrip noch zahlen. Da ich mit meiner Karte nur 1000$ pro Tag und innerhalb von 7 Tagen abheben kann, und dies schon am Dienstag getan hatte, stand ich vor einem kleinen Problem.
Allerdings nur einem kleinen; denn Adrian (Reiseverkehrskaufmann) erklärte mir, dass ich auch über EFTPOS zahlen könne - meint nur Kartenzahlung.
Also tat ich dies; vielmehr ich wollte es tun, aber die Technik ließ mich nicht:
Da ich am Dienstag schon das Kartenlimit abgekoben hatte, konnte ich nicht elektronisch zahlen!
Wie schlau ist das denn????? Da habe ich Geld auf meinem Konto, kann aber nicht darüber verfügen. Ja, dass sei falls meine Karte geklaut werden würde. Aber bitte - ich musste die elektronsiche Transaktion mit dem PIN bestätigen! Wie sollte ein Dieb daran kommen. Egal - auf jeden Fall war ich nicht allzu begeistert. Ich solle einfach zur Bank gehen und mit denen sprechen, die würden es mir dann wohl geben, so Adrian.
Da ich meinen Pass natürlich nicht mit mir herum trug, bin ich erstmal wieder nach Hause, den Pass holen. Dann wieder los und zur Bank, dort dann warten und der Schaltertante sagen, dass ich nun das Geld in bar mit nehmen will.
Und was passiert?!???
Sie bucht es ohne weitere Fragen oder Identifizierung und ich verlasse die Bank mit meinem Geld und das Konto ist leer!
Da frage ich mich nun wirklich wozu das Kartenlimit! Jeder Dieb hätte trotz Limit mein Konto leerräumen können!!!!

Aber die Hauptsache ist: meine Reise ist bezahlt. Nun heißt es nur noch hoffen, dass sie auch wirklich statt findet - der Start ist nämlich leider noch nicht garantiert.

After using my card limit on tuesday to pay for all the tickets and the change of my flight I needed to pay for my Tasmania trip on friday.
So I decided to pay via EFTPOS and everything is fine...
But it was not that easy!
I couldn't pay with EFTPOS because of the cardlimit. But I was told to go to the bank and they would be able to help.
Unfortunately I left my passport at home and so I went back to get it - when the Australians are that strict with the limits I would need any identification - that is what I suggested! Far from it!!!
I went in, waited a moment and then told the lady that I need to get all my money out of the account. She gave it to me - no questions, no identification.
How easy that could have done by a thief! Why do they have a card limit, but nobody checks out if I am really the account - holder???
So after all I spent round 60 minutes in walking around and got miffed at that but in the end I could pay for my journey.
Now my hope is that it will really take place as so far the depature is not guaranteed....
