Busse und mehr

Petra ist wieder in der Stadt und letzten Samstag waren auch Matthias und Martina hier - also nichts wie los in die Stadt (oder so ähnlich).
Mit Tina und Matthes hatte ich mich in Macquarie Park verabredet und von dort aus wollten wir dann gemeinsam los. Dabei gab es allerdings ein Problem: Macquarie Park ist nur mit Bussen zu erreichen (die Bahnverbindung ist seit einem Jahr im Bau); und so gut hier unten die Bahnverbindungen sind - ähnlich wie in deutschen Großstädten - so kann man auch den Busverkehr vergleichen: Am Wochenende fahren die Busse nur 2 mal die Stunde (und das meint nicht zwingend im 30min Takt!). Das war schon mal das erste; das andere: Ich musste erst mal die Haltestelle suchen und finden. Nachdem ich den ersten Bus verpasst hatte, da ich noch auf der Suche war, war ich danach schon ein wenig angefressen. Aber ich habe mich dann durchgefragt und die Haltestelle letztendlich auch gefunden - allerdings fuhr dieser Bus dann auch schon an und hielt nicht noch für mich an. Was nun? Ich hatte den Kragen auf und wollte nicht mehr warten - also blieb nur noch die Taxe....
Wie dem auch sei, ich kam mehr oder weniger pünktlich im Caravan Park an und die beiden kamen mir schon entgegen gelaufen.
Nach 10 Monaten habe ich sie immer noch problemlos erkannt - auch wenn Tina nun blond ist!!!
Auf jeden Fall ging es dann nach Downtown: Paddy's Markets, QVB, The Rocks Markets und Circular Quay. Es war ein wunderschöner sonniger Tag und wir haben uns viel zu erzählen gehabt, sind durch die Straßen geschlendert und haben gelacht.
Wie es so oft ist: wenn es schön ist, vergeht die Zeit wie im Fluge...
Am QVB haben wir uns dann wieder getrennt - denn auf dem Rückweg habe ich dann die einfache Route (ohne Bus) genommen!!!


Last weekend: it was sunny, warm, Petra is in town again and that special saturday Martina & Matthias have been there as well.
So one thing was quite obvious: I went to town to meet Tina & Matthes - preciscly I wanted to go to Macquarie Park to meet them and then we wanted to go into the city togehter. There has been one problem: I had to go by bus as the trainline Chatswood - Epping is still under construction (for one year now). And as good as the trainlines are as bad are the busses: there are 2 busses per hour (which does not mean every 30minutes!). While searching for the right busstop I was overtaken by hte first bus; then I asked my way to the right busstop and what happend: the 2nd Bus took of just moments before I arrived!!!! So I was really peeved and took a taxi at last...
However, I arrived in Macquarie nearly punctual and the two were walking towards the busstop, so I saw them immediatly. After 10 months you may expect big changes - but no: I regognized them at once and that even with Tina's blonde hair!!!

So we went downtown and spent a very nice day, seeing Paddys Markets, QVB, Cicular Quay and The Rocks. It was lovely - but as so often: time passes quickly and in the end I brought them to the busstop. I, myself, took the decision not to go by bus but only by train!!!!!!
