Kajaken - Cajaking

Sonntag bekam ich frei und so beschloss Donné, das ich mit ihr kajaken gehen müsse.
Nun gut, in dem netten stabilen Boot war es mehr ein „paddeln“,treiben lassen und auf Andere warten (wir namen an einer Tour auf dem Myall River tiel), denn kajaken – aber nichtsdestotrotz war es herrlich!
Neben einer Kurzinstruktion von Larry, bekam ich dann auf dem River noch einige Tipps von Don und wir hatten viel Spaß.
Leider muss ich eingestehen, dass (m)eine geringe Rechts – Links – Schwäche wieder mal durchkam und uch mehrfach versuchte das Kajak durch paddlen auf der falschen Seite zu drehen. Don verhinderte es jedesmal und so brauchten wir keine 340° Drehung, sondern nur eine 20° Drehung mahcen.
Wie dem auch sei – ich habe einen tollen Sport kenne gelernt und werde zusehen, dass ich auch in Sydney nochmal eine Kajak Tour mitmachen werde!


Last Sunday I was off and Donné decided to do a cajak tour on the Myall River – ok, it was not really cajaking in a boat which cannot be make sink. Maybe I could describe it as paddling, cruising and waiting for the rest of the group – but anyway: we have had a lot of fun (I did so absolutely and hope Don as well).
After we got some basic informations from Larry (the guide), we enterd the kajaks and paddled off. I got some further tipps from Don and it was great!
Ok, I have to announce, that my little “ Righthandside – Lefthandside – confusion” showed up again. So I tried the one or other time to change direction by paddling on the wrong side of the cajak. But Donné could stop us – so we mustn’t do a 340° turn but just a 20° one!!!
Anyway – I was a lovely day, I get to know a new sport and now have to look for another opportunity to cajak again here in Sydney!
