Neue Perspektive?!?

Mittwoch abend bin ich nach Gordon gefahren und habe mich dort vorgestellt. Ich konnte nicht anders und da ich nicht wusste, wie lange der Zug braucht bin ich eine Stunde vor dem Termin losgefahren. Ergebnis war, dass ich 25 min vor der Absprache am Bahnhof in Gordon stand und mich erst mal in den Park gesetzt habe. 10 Minuten vorher habe ich dann bei der Familie angerufen, dass ich am Bahnhof stehen wuerde.
Ein sehr freundlicher Mann (ich hatte eigentlich die Ehefrau erwartet) holte mich dann ab und lächelte: dass sei so typisch deutsch, immer viel zu frueh.
Ja, ich kann es halt nicht abstellen und bin mindestens 5 min zu frueh zur Stelle.
Ueberhaupt war das Gespraech mit den beiden sehr einfach, auch wenn einige Fragen schwierig zu beantworten waren (und dass waere schon in deutsch schwierig genug gewesen). Hund, Katze und zwei Kinder. Dazu ein wunderschoenes Zimmer mit direktem Zugang zum Garten. Mein Entflug hierher zu fliegen um diese Familie zu treffen, war schon mal richtig (schien jedenfalls so).
Nach einer Hausfuehrung wurde ich dann wieder zum Bahnhof gebracht – genaueres wuerde ich am Freitag erfahren.
Donnerstag rief mich Vaughn dann noch mal an, sagte mir, dass ich bei beiden einen sehr positiven Eindruck hinterlassen hatte, aber dass sie auch noch 2 Andere Treffen wuerden. Ist ja schoen und verstaendlich, aber warum ruft er mich dann Donnerstag schon an?!?
Na ja, um die Sache zu verkuerzen. Am Freitag morgen hatte ich dann Charlotte an der Strippe, die mir sagte , dass die Wahl auf mich gefallen ist. Ob ich denn noch interessiert sei? Was glaubt denn ihr? Ich fliege Hals ueber Kopf quer ueber den Kontinent nur um mich dann umzuentscheiden? Nartuerlich will ich noch!



Wendsday evening I went to Gordon by train for having an interview with a family. I arrived 25 min before the appointment and 15 min before I phoned them, that I would wait at the station. They picked me up and the first thing they told me was, that they really enjoy this typical german behaviour. Not one minute late but 10 min before. I really tried in the last weeks to stop it and became more relaxed but it doesn’t work. Everytime I am early. Maybe that changes in the coming 10 months but I am not sure.
The interview was really nice. Of course, there were some question which was hard to answer (I have had problems to answer them in german as well). But I was really relaxed and it was easy to talk to Charlotte and Vaughn.
They showed me all the house and them brang me to the station again. It was only an hour. To be honest, they told me they would have 2 more interviews and rang me on Friday.
But on Thursday my mobile rang and Vaughn just told me he and his wife had really enjoyed our meeting. Me too, but why he rang me only for saying that?!?
Ok, to say it in short: Friday morning Charlotte called me for asking if I would be still interested in the position. So, what do you think? Spontanous I decided in Sunday to fly over the continent from Perth to Sydney and now I am not interested? Of course not. Sure, I am still interested!
