Feststellungen

Melbourne ist einzigartig – und dass nicht nur, weil hier die Sonne schien, als ich ankam. Nachdem ich Leconfield verlassen hatte, erlebte ich am Samstag den ersten vollkommen sonnigen Tag hier in Melbourne.
Ich verbrachte ihn auf der Great Ocean Road und sah neben dem berühmten Bells Beach auch wilde Koalas und selbstverstänlich auch die 12 Apostel; von denen sind aber nur noch 11 sichtbar!
Es war ein wundervoller Tag – Photos kommen noch.
Was sonst kann man hier so alles sehen und tun? Erstmal wahrscheinlich, was man auch in allen anderen Städten sehen kann: Museen, Parlamentsgebäude, Wochen – und Kunstmärkte,...
Und obwohl ich all dieses in den anderen Stadten auch schon gesehen habe, werde ich nicht müde. Zum großteil werden einem wirklich überall dieselben Artikel angeboten – trotzdem kann ich stndelang durch die Gassen schlender und gucken...
Nachdem ich gestern noch im Southern Ocean war, konnte ich folgendes feststellen:
Ich war in jedem der 3 Ozeanen, die Australien umgeben – Indischer, pazifischer und südlicher Ozean und dann habe ich auch alle Haupstädte aller Bundesstaaten und – Terretorien hier in Australien gesehen:
Sydney – New South Wales
Canberra – Australian Capital Territory
Brisbane – Queensland
Darwin – Northern Territory
Perth – Western Australia
Adelaide – South Australia
Melbourne – Victoria
Hobart – Tasmania




I did arrive in Melbourne and the sun is shining!!!!!
Saturday was the first day with “all day sunshine” scince I left Leconfield!!!!
That is one reason to love Melbourne. But next to that it is just a really nice town: bigger than Adelaide bit not as busy as Sydney. Lots of shows are on and I have to take an decision which I am going to see…
Sunday morning I did a trip to and on the Great Ocean Road, as I couldn’t hire a car to drive back to Sydney myself.
However, it was a most enjoyable day: We started with some morning tea at Bells Beach, did see some wild Koalas, sleeping in Eukalyptus Trees (where else) and visited the 12 Apostels – even if there are just 11 left.
The day was long – we did start at 8am and returned at 9pm – but the sun did shine all the time. Now I am in the club “Great Ocean Road Visitor”. But to be honest: I must not do it again. The landscape is nice, but I have seen much nicer ones….
Saying that: The markets here are nice as well; arts, craft and souveniers. Sometimes I just think you get all of that in any bigger town – so why visiting them? Because every towm is unique and even if such things are the same, my impression of the cities I have seen now is quite different. I am really happy having seen every capital of every state and territory by now.
As well as I have been in every of the three oceans surrounding Australia: the pacific in the east, the Indian ocean in the west and the southern ocean here in the south!!!!
